The Latrobe Police Department serves and protects the citizens of the City of Latrobe with pride and professionalism. The Department polices an area of 2.3 miles and six patrol zones. The City has several residential areas, businesses and industries, a hospital, multiple schools and senior citizen high rise apartments, and a number of outdoor recreational facilities. With a population of 8,300 residents, the Police Department currently employs a Chief of Police, three Sergeants, eight full-time Patrol Officers, a K-9 Unit, 2 School Resource Officers, and a Community Service Officer.
A drug take back box is located in the lobby of the Municipal building for the disposal of your expired and unwanted drugs. The Building is open Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Liquids, creams and needles are not accepted. Prescriptions may be left in it's original bottle or placed in a ziploc bag and secured so that the pills do not fall out.
