Tax

The Tax Department is located at the City building in the Administration office and is responsible for billing and collecting city and county real estate taxes, and per capita and real estate taxes for the Greater Latrobe School District (GLSD).

City of Latrobe tax bills are mailed annually by the end of February with Greater Latrobe School District tax bills being mailed by the end of July. For school-related taxes, residents can elect a multiple payment plan giving the option of making three (3) equal payments, with the first payment due by September 30th, and the final two payments due anytime before December 31, per The Greater Latrobe School District passed Resolution 2019-2020 #277.

The Tax Department also provides a three-year tax certification letter for a $30.00 fee, along with duplicate real estate tax bills for a $5.00 fee.

If you are in need of a tax certification letter for a closing of a property, please submit a check for $30 made payable to the City of Latrobe and include a return stamped envelope.
